Preparing For Your
Design Center Appointment
Homebuyers Only
We love kiddos, but this appointment takes longer than what their patience will allow.
Only the buyers of the home should plan on attending. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, we unfortunately must limit this appointment to the home buyers, one realtor, and one outside designer (if hiring your own).
*Prior to your appointment, attend one of the weekly Zoom design previews. Ask your sales manager for more details.
Browse Options
Take a tour through our option catalog. This series specific book includes a sampling of the options available for your new home.
Determine Budget
Understand what your budget is so your designer can get the biggest bang for your buck.
Review Floorplan
Take some time to understand the included features of your new home. Walk the model home with your sales manager to have an understanding of the design options.
Collect Inspiration
Bring Photos or small samples of your favorite items that will be moving from your old home to your new home (i.e. pillows, patterns, fabrics, photos of art/furniture).
The more inspiration you have, the easier selecting options will become.
Notes
Bring your notes of where you want your additional outlets, plans for furniture placement, etc.
Don’t forget to use your most valuable tool – our model homes and communities! Jot down addresses of your favorite exteriors.
Be Confident
It is natural to second-guess some of your decisions. When your appointment is over, be confident in the selections you have made and be ready to watch the building process come together!

Meet Our Talented Designers
Design Center Manager, Design Coordinator
As a Louisville native, I grew up visiting Homearama and dreamt of one day helping others build their dream home. In 2015, I graduated from Western Kentucky University where I studied interior design. After several years of designing remodels for a small residential firm, I decided to venture into new construction as a design consultation for Elite. Both creative and detail orientated I enjoy both the technical and aesthetic aspects of designing a home. Because of my passion and experience in interior design I tend to make quick confident design decisions which help our buyers move along effectively through our design process. In my spare time you’ll find me spending time with my family, reorganizing, or renovating our personal home.
Design Center Consultant
As a design consultant, I work alongside our vendors and trades to turn a vision into reality in their new Elite or Arbor home. Our design process makes the building experience unforgettable, and I enjoy working through every fine detail with each buyer while catering to different needs and wants. I find my passion for my job in helping our buyers in creating a well designed space where they will make many memories with their loved ones. Here at the design center we turn a house into a home.
I grew up in Louisville Kentucky and received my bachelors of Arts in Interior Design from Sullivan University. In my spare time, I love hanging out with my family, including my nephew Jude, and my two orange tabbies, Colby and Cheddar. I enjoy riding my bike at the Parklands and I’m working on my green thumb, but haven’t mastered keeping all of the plants alive, just yet! I also like to explore my creative side in the kitchen, cooking hello fresh meals and trying out new recipes. I look forward to helping you design your dream home.
Design Center Consultant
Whether it be picking your kitchen countertop or adding electrical components in your home, I focus on the small details while helping customers envision the big picture. My previous work experience in remodeling homes allows me to be flexible in designing to many style interests and budgets. I stay in tune with new design trends, while making sure to adhere to the classics. My role at Elite and Arbor Homes allows me to be creative while helping my customers navigate through one of the biggest milestones in their lives.
As a graduate from the University of Kentucky, I found my passion for art and design while in Lexington, but I love being a Louisville local. When I am not designing, I am exploring new spots around town, traveling with family and friends or walking my golden retriever!

When can I expect a Design Consultant to contact me?
One of our design consultants will be in contact with you within 2 business days of the contract approval.
Do I need an appointment to visit the Design Showroom?
Yes, our showroom is by appointment only. We have appointments daily, and we want to ensure that our design appointments get our full attention.
How long should I expect my appointment to last?
Your private design appointment will take approximately 3-4 hours. Your consultant will help guide you through the available selections and options to personalize your new home.
How long do I have to complete my design selections process?
The process for selections should be completed during the scheduled appointment time to help avoid delays with the start of your new home.
