At Elite Homes, it has always been important for us to give to those in need. That’s why every year we give a percentage of earnings from our top-selling communities to local non-profits. The winning sales teams got to choose what organizations to donate the money to, enabling them to give to the causes closest to their hearts.
Shakes Run’s sales team donated $1,500 to Young Life. Comprised of many local chapters, including one that serves the Greater Louisville area, Young Life organizes camps, outings, events, and outreach programs primarily for middle school, high school, and college aged students, with the mission of “introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.”
At Little Spring Farm, the sales team chose to give their donation of $2,500 to the Brain Injury Adventure Camp. Located in Robards, KY in Henderson County, the 42-acre non-profit camp specializes in helping individuals with brain injuries, disabilities, and other special needs to set and accomplish goals by pushing themselves through ropes courses, zip lines, and other outdoor challenges.

The sales team at The Reserve at L’Esprit gave their donation of $1,750 to the Home of the Innocents. This non-profit focuses on helping Louisville’s most at-risk citizens. According to their website, they provide the “community with a range of important residential, treatment and community-based programs,” many of which focus on children and pediatric care.

Team One chose The Eastern High School Booster Club, where the money will help fund equipment and facilities maintenance for the school’s sports programs. Team Two donated to Love City, which strives to engage the Portland neighborhood of Louisville through classes, clubs, and activities primarily for those 18 and under.

While the sales teams enjoyed making these donations, we didn’t let them keep all the fun to themselves. Our two office teams joined in as well, donating $607 each to the non-profits of their choice.
We thank the sales teams and office staff for doing an incredible job this year. Our appreciation also goes to everyone who bought an Elite-built home, because without sales, we would not be in a position to give to those who need it most.
