Since its founding, Elite Homes has been a supporter of Louisville’s cultural arts. In that spirit, we are once again sponsoring a Louisville Orchestra Music W/O Borders concert at The Jeffersonian, formerly known as the Jeffersontown Community Center.
This year, we’re sponsoring NIKOLAI RIMSKY-KORSAKOV: Scheherazade, which showcases the works of legendary Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov.
Inspired by the roots of Imperial Russia and a fascination with orientalism, this piece interweaves the timeless stories of Sinbad, Aladdin, and other Tales of the Arabian Nights, set amongst a backdrop of spellbinding orchestration and instrumentation.
Considered Rimsky-Korsakov’s most popular work, Scheherazade is an essential orchestral experience for all whom appreciate classical music and epic stories.
The renowned Teddy Abrams will conduct this performance. Abrams has been heralded as one of the arts’ most promising young talents, having conducted for many of the country’s premier orchestras. Since joining The Louisville Orchestra two seasons ago, Abrams has debuted 10 major world premiers, including Muhammad Ali Portrait.
Before the concert, there will be a fine art reception featuring work from local artists, as well as complementary wine and cheese. There will also be post concert activities with art, dessert, wine, and door prize drawings.
Don’t miss this incredible affair, filled with music, art, and so much more.
